Happy Birthday to Annie! Not yet but at 10 p.m. she will officially be 16 years old!
How did this little girl

become this young woman?

Annie is going to be famous someday. You’ll know her when you see her. Lots of famous people were born on July 9, so it follows that Annie will join the ranks of the Famous July 9ers. This elite group includes:
Tom Hanks — you’ve probably heard of him. He’s a two time Academy Award winning actor which Annie will be someday. Or maybe just once, I won’t get greedy.
Courtney Love — who is also blonde, hopefully Annie will stay away from the heroin and being a part of any group called “Hole”. Go with this version of Courtney:

Not this version:

Fred Savage — Cute boy from The Wonder Years and Princess Bride. Actor.

Kiely Williams — One of the Cheetah Girls and we used to listen to them on the Disney channel on the radio. We’re Cheetah Girls, We’re Cheetah Sistahs!

Jimmy Smits– Love him! Another solid actor.
Kelly McGillis, Richard Roundtree, and Chris Cooper….all actors who make a living acting.
On the other hand the Infamous July 9ers include:
OJ Simpson and Jody Arias.

You may have heard that song “Billy Don’t Be a Hero”?
Annie, don’t be a murderer. Seriously, bad idea.
My birthday advice to you, my beautiful girl:
1. No heroin
2. No “Hole”
3. No murdering
I think you’ll be good.
Happy Birthday Doll!
good advice – none of that emotional feely stuff — ha ha
I’m going to save it for the card 🙂
All one ever needs to know in three bullet points. Excellent!
Thanks. I should probably start writing greeting cards!
Definitely! Move over, Hallmark!
Good advice Mom. She won’t listen to advice from you til she’s about 30 anyway…ENJOY THE BIRTHDAY CAKE GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I love how she is wearing a similar outfit in her 2013 pic to her one in her baby pic.)
I think a 3 step plan should get her at least out of high school.
You are correct. Especially not murdering someone before you graduate.
Solid advice. And Jimmy Smits was in a Star Wars movie…so that automatic awesomeness. Happy Birthday Annie!
Thanks. I totally should have posted a Jimmy Smits photo but there were too many to choose from with all his awesomeness!
Happy Birthday, Annie! Love, Mary
Happy Birthday! Listen to your mother, and remember to pass along your autographed photo to all of us so we might sell them on eBay and be able to afford good nursing homes.
Have cake. I insist.
I’m banking on this kid since savings is not my forte!
Happy sweet 16 Annie. You have some good company including the writer, Oliver Sacks, who is 64 years ahead of you. Maybe 64 years from today, you’ll remember this essay he wrote about celebrating his milestone:
Maybe not.
Fantastic piece. Just posted it on my FB. I will send to Annie with a link to my *(^*%*%) blog which she doesn’t read because it’s not on Twitter or Instagram.
Kids these days.
Thanks Lame.
Also, no cruelty to animals. I’m not particularly big on animals. I don’t even have any pets. I just figured it’s good advice. It is good advice, right?
Very good advice and goes without saying with Miss Annie.
Happy birthday to your daughter! She looks like a princess in her recent pic!
Awww that’s so sweet. She’s a looker and bears no resemblance to her mother at all. I do all the work and get nuthin’ out of it! 🙂
Happy birthday beautiful Annie!!! 16 is a wonderful year of life. Enjoy it to the fullest.
Maggie, I dedicated a post to you. It was the one I had mentioned a while back. You’ll remember.
Young Euro 80s love….those were the days!
that is good advice, she is lucky that her July 9 predecessors made the big mistakes for her to learn from.
That is the perfect way to look at it! I gotta go check out your blog because yes, most everyone is. 🙂
Haha I’m glad you agree!
